Contract opportunities with a total value exceeding £90,319 must be advertised and awarded via the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) as per EU procurement directives for public sector organisations. Some services, e.g outsourced clinical services, are exempt from the advertisement stage.

As from September 2009 the Trust has launched its own electronic tendering site to manage tendering activities online.
