Agenda for Change is the most radical shake up of the NHS pay system since the NHS began in 1948. It applies to over a million NHS staff with the exception of doctors, dentists and senior managers. It means harmonised terms and conditions for all NHS workers, and aims to address the issue of equal pay for work of equal value.
The are three main strands to Agenda for Change:
- Job evaluation
- The NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) and its associated development review process. These form the basis of the career and pay progression strand.
- Terms and Conditions
