GPs are now very much at the heart of healthcare commissioning, controlling budgets and tailoring services to the needs of the local communities which they serve.
This month’s GP Matters includes advice on making effective referrals for patients with autism spectrum disorders, the prescribing of antipsychotics to people with dementia, and special GP seminars.
Our trust is keen to develop close, working relationships with commissioners which will be continuously informed by the views and feedback from GPs in the localities that we serve.
Therefore it is vitally important that we hear your views on what we do, how we can work together to improve our services and improve GP access to them.
GP Matters is another part of our commitment to communicate with our GP stakeholders. This e-bulletin will land in your inbox every month, with the latest news and updates relevant to you and your patients.
Please let us know what you think of these new developments, or even suggest future articles that you may want to see by emailing gpmatters@bsmhft.nhs.uk.
