There are still a few places left to attend a special one-day conference on RAID, which will be held at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, on Friday, January 27.
Professor Alistair Burns, the national clinical director for dementia, and Peter Spilsbury, director of commissioning development for Birmingham and Solihull NHS Cluster, will both address delegates at this month’s event.
A RAID service pilot was launched at City Hospital, in Winson Green, in December 2009 to streamline the patient’s journey from A&E or inpatient wards through to specialist, mental health services. Previously people could face lengthy waits before being referred onto the relevant service but under RAID, clinicians can assess patients within an hour of arriving at A&E or within 24 hours if on a ward. RAID became a 24 hours a day, seven days a week, service in April 2010.
Delegates attending the one-day conference will be able to learn more about RAID, what’s behind its high profile success, and how implementing the RAID model can help your organisation or trust.
Places can be booked at a special day rate of £100, which includes lunch and a delegate’s pack, by contacting Sarah Beadman on 0121 301 1274 or emailing sarah.beadman@bsmhft.nhs.uk. Please note bookings must be made in advance.
