Helping People Get Better

Day Services

Day services offer extra support to people experiencing mental health problems and are based at centres within the local community.  They offer a variety of activities which help people to develop the skills they need to live active and fulfilling lives in the community.

This can include:

  • Psychology sessions - e.g. counselling
  • Group support sessions - e.g. anxiety management
  • Education and training - e.g. computer courses
  • Group activities - e.g. art or exercise classes
  • Social activities - e.g. trips to the local cinema
  • Information - e.g. on benefits or housing

The services offer a safe and welcoming environment in which people are encouraged to develop and grow.  People who use day services are often already being treated by one of our services but need a little extra support on a daily or weekly basis. Carers can also be supported through day services.
