Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (Forensic CAMHS)

Expert care for young people in a therapeutic and holistic setting

As one of the largest providers of forensic youth services in the country we offer a holistic, yet flexible approach to treatment for both males and females. We know that all young people are different which is why our treatments are tailored to the individual in a safe, secure environment.

We pride ourselves on ensuring that we only support young people who will benefit from our tailored interventions.

Our staff are of some of the leading names in child and adolescent forensic mental health psychiatry, alongside psychologists, nursing staff, occupational therapists, activity workers, social workers and other support staff.

“Work at Ardenleigh is cutting edge”

Rose Thompson, Senior Crown Prosecutor / Disability and Mental Health Coordinator

It is part of our philosophy that we derive strength from the multidisciplinary approach, with many of our interventions being delivered by a number of disciplines, in order to maximise positive outcomes for our young people.

As the first mental health trust to gain the globally recognised Autism Spectrum Disorder accreditation, we are experienced in supporting learning difficulties that often present with young people who use our service.

With the James Brindley school on site, alongside excellent vocational training opportunities, our young people are supported towards recovery, ultimately with aim that they gain independence and go on to lead a fulfilled life.
