This service offers a consultation/liaison service to nominated acute medial Trust’s for patients with an alcohol and/or drug misuse problem. The service provides advice, information, withdrawal and stabilisation management, brief interventions and referral on to specialist drug and alcohol services.
The Team aims to deliver a service that is responsible for the assessment of substance misuse needs of patients within specified hospital trusts and be responsible for contributing from a Tier 1 perspective to the development of a Citywide strategy on the reduction of drug related deaths.
