Homeless Service

The Homeless Community Mental Health Team aims to provide a safe, effective and personalised service to people who have a range of complex and severe mental health problems and psychosocial needs, and who are considered to be homeless.

The team has a Consultant Psychiatrist, Community Psychiatric Nurses and Social Workers and offers expert assessment , diagnosis and treatment of mental health problems.

The team provides support for as long as is necessary to resettle individuals in the community in order to establish accommodation, benefits, employment, social networks and manage problems influenced by substance and alcohol misuse.  We work collaboratively with other statutory and voluntary agencies and accept referrals from GP’s, Homeless agencies and hostels, Substance Misuse Services, the criminal justice system and other professionals.
