Performing and Creative Arts

Arts and Mental Wellbeing is the arts and culture programme for Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. We work with people with mental health problems and professional artists to develop and deliver arts projects for the well-being and creative development of service users and staff.

We have developed our first strategy for the arts which sets out how we plan to shape our arts service to make a measurable contribution to helping people get better and to integrate the arts into the life of the Trust. At the heart of our strategy is the passion for people with mental health problems to have the opportunity to engage with the arts and to make and be involved in the making of art that is bold, challenges expectations and enhances the recovery journey.
