Our Trust is supporting Mental Health Awareness Week, 14-20 May 2018

Published: 15/05/2018

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week – hosted by the Mental Health Foundation – is focused on stress. According to research, two thirds of us experience a mental health problem in our lifetimes, and stress is a key factor in this statistic. Through tackling stress, this can help to also tackle mental health problems such as anxiety and depression and – in some cases – self-harm and suicide.

If you are struggling to cope with stress, our Trust’s Birmingham Healthy Minds service is a self-referral service for those struggling with stress, anxiety, depression and low mood. They offer advice, information and psychological talking therapies for people aged 16 and over for people registered with a Birmingham GP. You can refer yourself to the service via our website here, by calling 0121 301 2525, or by texting ‘BHM’ to 60777. There is more information about Birmingham Healthy Minds here
