Take good care of yourself over the festive period by:
- making sure you have enough medication for the holiday period
- planning routine GP appointments and check operating/opening hours of your health care provider
- making sure your house is warm when there is cold weather outside
- calling 111 or visiting your local pharmacist for advice if you are feeling unwell; don’t wait for the GP surgery to open again.
Services
All Acute and Urgent Care services are running as normal over the Christmas and New Year period. Some of our other services have different operating hours. Please see the table below for details:
Addictions Services | 9am – 5pm, except public holidays. |
Assertive Outreach (AOT) | 9am - 8pm Monday to Friday with the exception of weekends which will be 9am - 5pm. Solihull AOT will work 9am to 5pm throughout the Christmas and New Year period. |
Birmingham Healthy Minds | Normal operating hours, closed on public holidays. |
Community Mental Health Teams | 9am - 5pm, closed on weekends and public holidays. |
Health Exchange | 9am - 5pm, closed on weekends and public holidays. |
The Juniper Centre, Reservoir Court and Ashcroft | Open normal hours (please note reception is closed on public holidays.) |
Single Point of Access (SPOA) | 8am - 7.30pm, closed on public holidays. |
Specialist Psychotherapies Services | Both sites will be closed 24-29 December 2019. Monday 30 December 2019, Coach House only will be open from 9am - 5pm. |
Customer Relations (PALS) opening times over Christmas and New Year
Customer Relations will close on Tuesday 24 December at 4pm. The service will operate between 8am and 4pm on Friday 27 December, 8am and 6pm on Monday 30 December, 8am and 4pm on Tuesday 31 January and re open at 8am on Thursday 2 January 2020.
Office opening times over Christmas and New Year
Our Trust Headquarters will be closed from 4pm on Tuesday 24 December until Friday 27 December. On Friday 27 December the offices will be open from 8am. The office will close at 4pm on Tuesday 31 December, reopening on Thursday 2 January 2020.

If you are looking for support in a mental health crisis over the festive period. Crisis Cafes run by Birmingham Mind in partnership with BSMHFT are operating as normal over this time. Visit for a cup of tea and they can help with:
- Improving your wellbeing
- Giving support in a crisis
- Signposting to long-term support
- Supporting your recovery
