Beat the Heat – Level 2 alert issued by the Met Office starting Wednesday 24 June

The National Heatwave Plan for England came into effect from Monday 1 June 2020 when we entered Level 1 of the Heat-Health Watch alert system. Today, Monday 22 June, a level 2 alert has been issued by the Met Office, effective from Wednesday 24 June onwards due to the anticipated high temperatures expected to exceed the Department of Health Heat-Health Watch alert levels on Wednesday, ThursdayandFriday this week.

There is high risk of the weather being significantly hot to very hot on Wednesday and Thursday in West Midlands.
