Council of Governors - notice of election

As a foundation trust, our governors play an integral role in the running of our trust.

We have 21 governors that represent a variety of areas; service users, carers, public, stakeholder organisations and staff.

We are currently seeking to elect governors to the following seats:

Service user - rest of England and Wales (x1)

Carer (x1)

Staff - non-clinical (x1)

Governors are expected to represent the views of their constituency and provide that vital link between the members they represent and the board of directors. Governors represent their constituents at a minimum of six Assembly of Governor meetings per year.

More information on the current governor appointments and the role of governors is available here: http://www.bsmhft.nhs.uk/members-and-governors/meet-our-governors/
