Primary Care and Community Mental Health Service redesign

NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups are working together with Birmingham City Council to improve Primary Care and Community Mental Health Services. They are setting up a consultation to gather feedback from as many people as possible.

The purpose of this consultation is to gather feedback in relation to:

  • Personal experiences of using primary care and community mental health services.
  • Your views about the information currently available about primary care and community mental health services.
  • Access to primary care and community mental health services.
  • Your views on the model proposed.
  • Any further views about how primary care and community mental health services can be made better.

The redesign will focus on services such as talking therapies, community mental health teams (CMHTs), and recovery, enablement and prevention services.

Specifically, they are looking for feedback on services for adults, which mean those people over 18 years of age. However, some services work with young people from 16 years of age, so those services are also included in the redesign.

The closing date for any feedback is June 6, 2014.

There will also be a public consultation events for you to attend in Birmingham on Saturday, May 10. The event will be held from 1 - 4pm at the Library of Birmingham, Centenary Square, Broad Street, B1 2ND.
