Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust holds its annual community engagement family fun day in Sparkhill.

The event takes place between 12pm and 5pm on Saturday 16 July at the Trust’s Zinnia Centre, at 100 Showell Green Lane, Sparkhill, B11 4HL where there will be a host of activities available, including fun fair rides, a refreshment barbeque, a market place with information stalls and not forgetting the live performances.

There will be a selection of live music and entertainment including reggae band, One Love, a disco and R & B from 3rd Junction, the Northfield Caledonia pipers, Punjabi Folk dance from Dance Sansaar and the Wellbeing Choir.
This event is also a great opportunity to find out more about the work of the Trust and its partners. One of the series of family fun day events has also been recognised with an equality award by Sandwell and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Group.
Lakhvir Rellon, Head of Community Engagement at the Trust said: “Our award winning engagement days are an opportunity for people of all walks of life to join us, for a fun packed day and at the same time learn more about mental health and the support services available. We look forward to welcoming everyone to what promises to be a great day.”

The family fun days attract hundreds of people and help the Trust to challenge the stigma associated with mental health, by reaching out to and involving local communities across Birmingham and Solihull and strengthening our relationships with them.

Admission is free and hot food (including halal) and refreshments will be available to purchase on the day.

The Trust will be holding another family fun day on 30 July in Winson Green with a further two dates over the summer in Solihull and Erdington.
