These finalists included a team and two individual student nurses from Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT). The Handsworth Assertive Outreach team received a nomination for Student Placement of the Year: Community, was shortlisted and invited to attend the event.

Muchaneta (Winnie) Katemauswa from the University of Birmingham and Rebecca Kidman from Birmingham City University were both shortlisted for Student Nurse of the Year, in the mental health category. Rebecca, now qualified works at the Zinnia Centre, and once Winnie qualifies BSMHFT look forward to welcoming her to the Trust.

The Trust would like to congratulate all who entered the awards, in particular our Handsworth Assertive Outreach Team, Winnie and Rebecca for their continued hard work and dedication.
