BEDLAM: Arts and Mental Health Festival, 17-28 October 2017

Published: 20/09/2017

Our Trust has collaborated with several organisations to organise ‘BEDLAM: Arts and Mental Health Festival’, taking place in various venues across Birmingham between 17 and 28 October for the third year running.

Getting involved in the arts – both as participants or audiences – can contribute to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. This year’s festival is bigger than ever, with new partners contributing to this innovative festival, which will feature new theatre, dance and visual art. So that everyone has the opportunity to take part in this festival, performances and workshops have also been organised in mental health settings across the city.

From film screenings to guided art tours, the diverse festival takes place at a variety of venues, including Midlands Arts Centre, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The festival will also display the ten winning photography pieces from our Photography Competition.

Whatever your age or background, there’s something for everyone at this year’s BEDLAM festival.
