Easter bank holiday weekend 2017 message

Published: 11/04/2017

As Easter is nearly here, please consider that Friday 14 April (Good Friday) and Monday 17 April 2017 (Easter Monday) are both bank holiday days, and so some health services – such as GP surgeries and pharmacies - may have reduced opening hours over the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Take care of yourself over Easter by:

  • Ensuring you have enough medication during this time.
  • Planning routine GP appointments and checking operating/opening hours of your healthcare provider.
  • Calling 111 or visiting your local pharmacist if you are feeling unwell, instead of waiting for the GP surgery to open again.

Our Trust opening times

Our Trust’s offices will be closed from 5pm on Thursday 13 April until 8am on Tuesday 18 April 2017.

If you, or someone you know, use our services and need to contact us during this time, please contact our 24-hour switchboard on 0121 301 0000 for assistance.

Our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) will be open as normal 8am-8pm on Thursday 13 April, but closed from Friday 14 April, reopening at 8am on Tuesday 18 April.

Who should I call in a crisis?

  • NHS 111, by dialling 111 – open 24 hours
  • Samaritans on Freephone 116 123 – open 24 hours
  • SANELINE on 03000 304 7000 – open 6pm-11pm every day
