We’re supporting National Clean Air Day – Thursday 15 June 2017

Published: 14/06/2017

Our Trust is supporting the first ever National Clean Air Day on Thursday 15 June 2017, coordinated by Global Action Plan. The day aims to help tackle air pollution in Birmingham and across the UK, as poor air quality can negatively impact on health in several different ways.

The day hopes to raise awareness about what causes air pollution, what effects it has on our health, how we can reduce our exposure to it, and how we can improve the air quality. Click here to find out more about National Clean Air Day.

Even though the day aims to help tackle air pollution across the UK, Birmingham is one of the campaign’s focus areas. Find out more here.

We’re encouraging our staff to support the day too, and if you’d like to get involved there are lots of things you can do to help support this day and make a difference:

•    Make a pledge for the day, whether that’s leaving the car at home for the day, or sharing tips to cut air pollution with others

•    Share information about the day with friends and family, or encourage others to make a pledge

•    Drop in on one of the events taking place around Birmingham

•    Promote what you’re doing to support the day or show your support via social media by using the hashtag #NationalCleanAirDay and/or #BrumBreathes
