Now booking - celebrate equality, diversity and human rights with our Trust

Published: 10/05/2017

Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Week 2017 is taking place between Monday 15 May and Friday 19 May, with an aim to raise awareness of equality, diversity and human rights issues in the NHS, and also to highlight what the NHS is doing well in relation to these issues. To celebrate the week and to help contribute towards its cause, our Trust is running a variety of exciting workshops, open to the public and our service users and staff.

This is the sixth Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Week, coordinated by NHS Employers. As the largest employer in Europe with over 1.3million staff, the NHS intends to remain at the forefront of the inclusion and fairness agenda for both its service users and staff.

The workshops hosted by the Trust aim to develop participants’ knowledge of issues relating to equality, diversity and human rights, while also enabling them to promote understanding of these issues within their communities.

Please take a look at the events below, and if you would like to attend any please get in touch with Caroline Mitcham, Project Support Officer (email caroline.mitcham@bsmhft.nhs.uk, or call 0121 301 1067).

Please also keep an eye out on our Twitter (@bsmhft) for more updates about the week in our Trust, and use the hashtag #EQW2017 to find out more about the week across the NHS.
