Peter Tatchell, Human Rights Campaigner and Director of the Peter Tatchell Foundation will be delivering a presentation on the impact of human rights abuse within mental health, in Birmingham this April.
The presentation entitled “Human Rights .v. Human Wrongs: The impact of human rights abuses on mental health in the UK and globally” will be held at the Electric Cinema, 47-49 Station Street Birmingham B5 4DY; from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on Monday 10 April.
Well known for his campaigning on the issues of human rights, democracy, LGBT freedom and global justice, in 2012 Peter was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the UK’s first National Diversity Awards.
The presentation will be followed with an opportunity to ask questions and share comments and observations, and will be chaired by the Chief Executive of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, John Short.
