Sue Davis CBE, Chair of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I am delighted to be welcoming Philip to our Trust Board, to which he will bring his extensive expertise and knowledge gained within director level roles in the third sector, NHS and business consultancy. The experience, commitment and leadership that Philip demonstrated during the recruitment process will be invaluable to the Trust at this critical time, as NHS organisations tackle the challenge of continuously improving quality of care for our service users while maintaining financial sustainability.”
Philip Gayle said: “It’s a real privilege to have this opportunity to join Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust as a non-executive director, and I am extremely looking forward to making a contribution to the continued success of the Trust.”
Philip replaces Barry Henley, who left the Trust at the end of May 2019 to take up the post of Chair at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
