Governor vacancies

Election process

Governors are elected for a term of three years, following a robust election process.

Vacancies will be advertised on this website and through other networks.

Nominations are open to members who are part of the vacant constituency. For example, if you would like to nominate for a service user governor vacancy for Solihull, you must be one of our service user members and live in Solihull.

You can request a nomination pack from our returning officer, a nominated individual or organisation who manages the election on our behalf.

You must complete the form within the deadline, otherwise your nomination cannot be accepted.

If there are no other nominations within that constituency you will elected automatically, as your nomination will be classed as uncontested.

If there are more than one nomination received it will be decided by a vote. Members of the constituency will be sent your personal statements and will vote for who they would like to become governor. The candidate who receives the most votes will be elected.
