Enhanced Family Support Service
The Family Support Service is available to:
- Provide support for families unable to visit their loved ones at the this time
- Provide support for wards who need to move patients to other trust sites, to contact and support the families and carers of patients
- Liaise with and provide support to families/carers when patients have to be transferred to other care providers (whether this is related to COVID19 or not)
- Provide support for families/carers when challenging conversations about the likely outcome of illness (including COVID19) need to be had.
- Provide access to support for families/carers when they are unable to attend the funeral following the death of a loved one
