Involving and listening

The only way our organisation can continue to grow and develop services that locally people need and value, is by listening. If we do not involve you and do not listen to you we will never be able to give you exactly what you need.

Our vision is to ensure that Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust becomes an organisation that understands, values and supports the vital role that families, friends and carers play in enabling service users to recover, and also recognising the impact of caring on those who undertake it.

We value the involvement we have with our carers, families and friends and we are always looking for more people to join us.  We involve carers and families in a number of ways around the Trust;

  • Being part of our interview panels when we recruit staff
  • Policy consultation
  • Focus groups
  • Sharing your story (at Trust Board or other meetings)
  • Completing surveys
