Advocacy

An advocate will offer mutual support and help you to speak up, get your views heard and your needs properly met. Advocates are independent and will only help represent your views but they won't make decisions for you. They can be useful when you are unwell and finding it hard to articulate your feelings.

POhWER provide advocacy for deprivation of liberty safeguards and provides Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy. They also provide some community advocacy in Birmingham.
