Thirty colleagues from Reaside, Tamarind and FIRST swapped their usual working environment for mud, water and obstacle-filled terrain as they took on the Summer Wolf Run to raise funds for Caring Minds.
Held in Leicestershire on Saturday 13 June, the 10-kilometre challenge tested participants with a series of demanding obstacles, muddy trails and cold-water crossings. Despite the tough conditions, colleagues embraced the experience with determination, teamwork and good humour.
For many of those taking part, it was their first Wolf Run. While the course delivered plenty of mud and physical challenges, it also provided an opportunity for colleagues to support one another, build team spirit and create lasting memories along the way.
The event was organised in support of Caring Minds, the charity supporting Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and supporters, the team has already raised an impressive £1,760, with donations continuing to be received through the JustGiving page.
The fundraising effort reflects the dedication and commitment of colleagues across Reaside, Tamarind and FIRST, who gave their time and energy to support a cause that benefits patients, service users and staff across the Trust.
Everyone involved should be incredibly proud of their achievement. From navigating challenging obstacles to encouraging teammates across the finish line, the event demonstrated the values of teamwork, resilience and compassion that are seen across our services every day.
A huge congratulations to all 30 colleagues who took part and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported the fundraising effort so far.
Donations remain open and supporters can continue to contribute through the team’s JustGiving page.
Well done to everyone involved in making the challenge such a success.
