Join us at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 29 September, 9.30am – 2pm, Uffculme Centre, 52 Queensbridge Road, Birmingham B13 8QY
We’re looking forward to welcoming colleagues, service users, carers, partners and stakeholders to this year’s AGM. With a focus on wellbeing and our new Five-Year Strategy, the day will be an opportunity to reflect on our achievements, celebrate the difference we’ve made together and explore how we can continue to shape the future of mental health and wellbeing services across Birmingham and Solihull. Through conversations, networking and engagement activities, we’ll come together to bring our strategy to life and embrace our shared vision. Supporting wellbeing, strengthening culture, creating our future.

9.45 – 10.15am: A Pause for Wellbeing with Sarah Schäd, Community Matron for Homeless and Addiction Services
This session offers an opportunity to experience mindfulness through a guided meditation practice. Mindfulness involves paying attention to the present moment with openness and curiosity, helping us navigate stress, enhance wellbeing and build resilience. Suitable for beginners and experienced persons alike, the session will provide a chance to slow down, recharge and explore simple practices that can be incorporated into daily life.
10.20 – 11am: Join the Drum Circle with Martine Evans, Spiritual Care Facilitator
Take a moment to relax and immerse yourself in a soothing sound journey. Sound and wellbeing sessions guide people into a deeper state of relaxation through a combination of calming visuals and live instrumentation. Instruments such as drums, singing bowls, chimes and a rain stick are used to create an immersive, soothing experience. Simply sit back, listen and allow the rhythm and sound to take you on a restorative journey.
11.05 – 11.50 am: Shinrin-Yoku/nature prescriptions with Jane Jennings, Spiritual Care Practitioner
Discover the calming benefits of Shinrin-yoku, the Japanese practice of “forest bathing”. This mindful approach encourages you to slow down, immerse yourself in nature and engage your senses with the sights, sounds and scents of the natural world.
