From 27 July 2026, if you use the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) Patient Portal, you will begin receiving email notifications and reminders when new documents are added to your portal.

This means you may receive an email when important information, such as care plans, appointment letters and other key correspondence, is available to view securely online.

The new feature has been introduced to help you stay informed about your care and access key information faster.

To view a new document, please log in to your Patient Portal account using NHS login.
