Caring Minds has funded a new wellbeing area for colleagues working on Coral and Citrine Ward at Ardenleigh, following feedback raised directly by staff through the Freedom to Speak Up process.
These wards can often be challenging environments and this new wellbeing space will provide a calming and restful area for colleagues to take breaks and recharge during their shifts. This is a great example of what can happen when staff speak up – turning ideas and concerns into meaningful change.
Chris Goodban, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, has been a real champion for this project and was delighted to officially open the space yesterday (Thursday 10 July) for colleagues.
Caring Minds has also approved funding for other wellbeing spaces across the Trust – more on this in the coming months.
If you have a space at your site or ward that could be transformed into a wellbeing area and would like to apply for funding, please contact Louise John, Charity Manager.
