More than 100 doctors and colleagues came together for the BSMHFT Medical Celebration Event 2026, at The Studio Birmingham. The event was a chance to learn, reflect and celebrate the outstanding contribution of medical colleagues across the Trust.
The programme included keynote presentations, quality improvement and research showcases, the annual Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) Awards and the Medical Celebration Awards 2026. A highlight of the day was the fireside chat, Be More Human, with Sir Norman Lamb, former Minister of State for Care and Support, who spoke about the importance of compassion, humanity and giving mental health the same priority as physical health.
The event also recognised the achievements of our doctors through the PGME Awards and Medical Celebration Awards, celebrating excellence across education, leadership, patient safety, partnership working and the Trust Values.
