Phil Gayle has been reappointed as Chair of the Board of Directors at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust for a further three-year term.
The reappointment was approved by the Trust’s Council of Governors, with Phil’s new term running from 1 April 2026 to 1 April 2029.
Phil joined the Trust in 2019 and brings extensive leadership experience across health, social care and housing. He is also Chief Executive of Servol Community Services, which provides accommodation and support for people with mental health needs.
Alongside his role at BSMHFT, Phil also serves as Chair of Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. He is a qualified counsellor and holds an MSc in Healthcare Policy Management.
