Congratulations to the Screening, Training, Intervention, Consultation and Knowledge (STICK) team, winners of June’s Team of the Month award.

The early help CAMHS community service was recognised for its outstanding compassion, dedication and commitment to supporting children, young people and families across Birmingham and Solihull.

The nomination highlighted the team’s ability to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they support, praising both its strong leadership and the dedication of colleagues who go above and beyond to provide high-quality care.

A particularly moving nomination came from a family who shared how the STICK team helped their daughter during a difficult period in her life. They described how colleagues supported her to rebuild her confidence, manage severe anxiety and rediscover her sense of self, helping her make significant progress on her recovery journey.

The recognition reflects the team’s person-centred approach and unwavering commitment to ensuring children, young people and families receive the right support when they need it most.

Also recognised as runners-up were the Rare Dementia Service Farm Group and ADHD Team, both of whom received praise for the positive impact they have on the people they support.

The Rare Dementia Service Farm Group was commended for creating a welcoming and supportive environment that enables people living with rare dementias and their families to connect, learn and enjoy meaningful experiences together. Meanwhile, the ADHD Team was recognised for its dedication, expertise and compassionate support for service users and families.

The Trust’s Team of the Month awards celebrate colleagues and teams who consistently demonstrate the Trust’s values and make a positive difference to the lives of patients, service users, carers and colleagues.
