An advocate will offer mutual support and help you to speak up, get your views heard and your needs properly met.
Advocates are independent and will only help represent your views but they won’t make decisions for you. They can be useful when you are unwell and finding it hard to articulate your feelings.
Complaints advocacy supports you when you need to make a complaint to any National Health Service function.
