The team at Hertford House, part of Steps2Recovery, has been recognised as BSMHFT’s Team of the Month for May in recognition of their outstanding dedication, compassion and commitment to supporting people experiencing a mental health crisis.

The nomination praised the team for consistently going above and beyond to provide high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring patients feel supported, safe and valued throughout their recovery journey.

Hertford House supports people during some of the most challenging periods of their lives, and colleagues were recognised for the compassionate and holistic approach they bring to their work every day. The team’s commitment to helping patients navigate their mental health difficulties while promoting recovery was highlighted as a key reason for their nomination.

Special recognition was given to Ward Manager Tracey, Occupational Therapist Emma and the wider multidisciplinary team for the care, professionalism and dedication they demonstrate in supporting both patients and colleagues.

The nomination also highlighted the welcoming and inclusive culture fostered at Hertford House. New team members are made to feel supported from the moment they arrive, helping to create a positive environment where colleagues can thrive and deliver the best possible care.
