People from across Birmingham and Solihull came together at Endeavour Court for another inspiring Feel the Rhythm, Beat the Stigma community event, celebrating wellbeing, creativity and connection through music.

The event brought together colleagues, patients, volunteers, community groups and local residents in a welcoming and inclusive space designed to promote positive mental wellbeing and challenge the stigma often associated with mental health.

Visitors enjoyed an afternoon packed with live music, creative activities, wellbeing sessions and community information stalls, creating opportunities for people to connect, share experiences and build new relationships.

A special highlight of the day was a visit from the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Zaker Choudhry, who spent time enjoying the performances, meeting volunteers and speaking with attendees alongside Beresford Dawkins, Community Development Lead.

The event showcased the power of community-led activities in supporting wellbeing and helping people feel connected, valued and heard.

Beresford Dawkins said:

“Events like Feel the Rhythm, Beat the Stigma demonstrate how bringing people together through music, creativity and conversation can help improve wellbeing and create stronger, more connected communities. It was wonderful to see so many people taking part and supporting one another.”

A huge thank you goes to everyone who performed, volunteered, exhibited, supported and attended the event. Their enthusiasm and commitment helped make the afternoon such a success.
